About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Change the world (one person at a time).
ABOUT ME
I'm very into politics and current events. I go to a lot of protests, and I read a lot of non-fiction books. I really enjoy university. I'm quite involved in the New Democratic Party (NDP) of Canada. I used to be quite involved with the Liberal Party of Canada. I've also been a touring musician in the past. I play guitar and sing, and I love to write music. I'm also teaching myself to play piano. I am very interested in the Middle East. I read about it a lot in my spare time and at school.
PHILOSOPHY
I like to think of myself as a rational thinker. I'm a very open-minded Christian. I believe I exist to help others.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love to travel, and I'm looking forward to networking with other couch servers around the continent (and hopefully at some point around the world).
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Well, I slept on many a couch when touring with different bands of mine over the years, but that's about it so far.
My first official "CouchSurfing" experience was in the summer of 2009 while attending the federal NDP convention in Halifax. It was a great experience!

Music, Movies, and Books
I watch a lot of documentaries. I love Jim Carrey movies. I also like drama, action, and suspense movies. I watch The Office and Bill Maher.
I read many non-fiction books, mostly about politics and current events. Some of my favorite authors are Noam Chomsky, Cornel West, and Tony Campolo.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I worked on Dennis Kucinich's Presidential primary campaign in New Hampshire in the winter of 2007/2008. I worked in offices in Keene, Manchester, and Concord. It was amazing. And so is Dennis Kucinich.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you all kinds of things about Canadian politics, relative to the United States if that helps, since I've worked within both systems. I've toured with bands of mine across most of Canada (except Atlantic) and quite a few of the states on personal trips. I've been quite involved in the political process in both countries. For formal education, I've got a diploma in computer science and I'm working on a BA with majors in Middle Eastern & African Studies and Religious Studies. My foci are on the Israel-Palestine conflict and Islam, respectively.
