About Me

CURRENT MISSION

travel the world, meeting people and seeing things

ABOUT ME

In 2011, I went to France for 21 days, couchsurfing the entire time. It was wonderful and everyone I met was amazing. I stayed in everything from 200 year old homes to flats right on the Gironde River.

One day I hope write/create a book on perfect wines. My travels have included Bordeaux, Burgundy, Rhone, Priorat, Napa and Sonoma for info and pictures.

Couchsurfing is my preferred method of travel. I have hosted and been hosted by numerous people, and I love it. The only reason for me to stay in hotel is when I am driving across the country and all I want to do is shower, go to sleep, and continue driving early the morning. This seldom if ever happens. Any other time, I want to couchsurf and meet cool and interesting individuals. I arrive at someones house bringing fine local foods like fresh bread, fresh tomatoes and excellent cheese. That is a good way to introduce yourself. Nothing can beat the local person's perspective. I have traveled to numerous parts of the world. I continue to travel experiencing new places and other people. I always want to learn what is out there and find out how others live.

I am always up for interesting activities, if it is fun, I probably have done or want to try it,

PHILOSOPHY

you can always learn something from everyone

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Willing to open up my house if someone needs it. Also, whenever I travel, I try to stay a various hosts.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

years ago, I used to live in Vail Colorado, a huge ski resort in the Rocky mountains. I met many people from everywhere in the world. If a friend of mine told me that one of their friends needed a couch to sleep on, I would give it gladly. I traveled through Napa California, New England, and France couchsurfing all the way. I met many wonderful hosts. I think this is the best way to travel ever!
