About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Build. Grow. Enjoy. Appreciate.

ABOUT ME

I have a pretty great life, and it's tough for me to complain about anything: I get paid to speak my mind, make people laugh, and run team-building sessions, and my job keeps me surrounded by positive people who offer more to me than I could ever hope to give back. I have opportunities to sing with people I care about and perform for people who appreciate it. I love a variety of foods and have money to eat them. I have been fortunate to travel a bit, and I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunities living in Canada affords me! I strive to be a "can do" person, and I'm not a fan of working with "no can do" people.

PHILOSOPHY

Humans have an incredible ability to affect each other.

Interests

Barbershop Quartet Singing (I'm a nerd), Sustainable Development (Engineers Without Borders), books, Outdoorsy Stuff, Interesting and Tasty Foods, Hand Drumming, Yoga, Squash, Rock Climbing.

Music, Movies, and Books

Life is Beautiful (subtitled, not dubbed). All music is pretty wonderful. I don't read as much as I should, but I tend to read non-fiction. I have a long list of "to reads". Since September 2007 I've had the goal of reading a book every 2 weeks - so far so good. Stumbling on Happiness (a psychology book about why we suck at predicting what will make us happy) was a recent great.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I pet a Cheetah in Kenya (it was tame). It purred and licked me. I nearly wet myself.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can help people to juggle- I'm a decent coach. I'd like to learn French well enough that one day, when I meet someone who speaks a bit of English, we decide to converse in French (because my French is better than the other's English). So far, we always revert to English.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Denmark, Ecuador, Germany, Iceland, Kenya, Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
