About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Keep traveling - until it ceases to be rewarding or i want something else from life...

ABOUT ME

I love exploring, learning and combining both with the outdoors.
After finishing school, i went immediately to do my first season in the French alps. Since then i've never looked back! I managed to fit in a degree in the intervening time, but seasons and my travels have allowed me so many good times, and to meet many great friends, that a 'normal' career in an office is very unlikely for me.
The last few years have been spent mostly in Central America, where i've managed to get to grips with Spanish and start running a Surf Camp.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm not sure i have a philosophy as such. I'm political, liberal and philosophical but i wouldn't say i have anything coherent or consistent as an approach to life or advice to others. I try and live to enjoy as many experiences as possible that have meaning for me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I accommodate as many people as I can when I'm in the alps... it's expensive enough as it is without paying for a bed...
Unfortunately, having been travelling for the last 3 years i haven't had any opportunity to give back as much as I would like.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had some amazing experiences couchsurfing, some through this website, and others while hitching across central america and the US.
It's been humbling and educational, interesting and exciting, and by far the best way to get to know place is to see it through the eyes of a local.

Interests

Getting outside as often as possible; preferable doing something exciting - hiking lines in the alps, barrels in Nicaragua or getting above my last gear placement climbing at home in North Wales...

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm qualified to teach kitesurfing...
I'm a sponge for useless information, though what value that may have is relative and debatable.
I would love to learn more about the natural world and more languages...
I speak fluent Welsh and English, nearly fluent Spanish as well as some French - I'd enjoy exchanging languages at any point.
