About Me
CURRENT MISSION
the act of making an absolute stranger's day is on the top part of my list of missions. also, living localy, wherever you happen to be at the moment.
ABOUT ME
i grew up in the wild mountains of north idaho, off the grid, with as true a freedom as i can imagine. i first hitch hiked at the age of 13; instant love, and i haven't really stopped since. i am currently seeing how long i can be house-less for. music and dance are my passions, inspirations, and preferred ways to get to know people.
PHILOSOPHY
life is freedom, but only if you are willing to take responsibility for it. one of the most positive tasks you can undertake is to make a total stranger incredibly happy to have walked by you. to use the old cliche, be the change you want to see in the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
my favorite CS experience...i got a request from a man who was biking from NYC to seattle. poor guy, flat tire in the rain, cold and hungry...i had just moved into my first home in years, so i was wanting to host, but i was in california. with nothing else to do, i told him the name of the local pub, and told him he could probably find somebody there who would put him up. a few days later, i got a call from the guy who was housesitting for me. turns out he me this guy and gave him a place to stay. sometime in the course of their conversation, they put it together that he was staying n the house he was shooting for, just with a different host...
