Hi! My name is Joëlle, a 22-year old from the Netherlands. Since august 2015, I live in Gothenburg. I moved here to study -after the first year I decided it would be sociology - but I actually ended up doing way more things here than just that.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm pretty bad at summing up these things, but I'm gonna give it a try. I listen to a lot of music, I just dislike hiphop and techno thingies. I think 80's music is amazing! Lately I've been listening much to First Aid Kit and Sara Bareilles. Sometimes I have days where my motto can be 'the worse, the better' :)

Movies, I don't usually watch too many but I saw the Greatest Showman a while ago and loved it!

I read quite a lot and one of my favorite books is All The Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr. Also loved 'Wees onzichtbaar' by Murat Isik. A few months ago I was crying too much while reading 'The Travelling Cat Chronicles'' by Hiro Arikawa, I thought it was beautiful. And then all the Harry Potter books of course.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Well, first of all my couch! Has been tested by several guests and they all love it. It's from IKEA and since we're in Sweden you know it has to be a good combo. I share a kitchen with other people in my house, but one more person to cook together with would not be a problem at all! Then I can share a part of my personality of course oh, and I love to play piano so if you're up for making music then it's the right place! I also have a guitar but due to too many things to do in daily life I haven't managed to learn more than 4 chords. Yet. If you want to learn some Dutch or Swedish I can share my language skills as well!
