Hi there! My name is Joëll. I am from The Netherlands and I am currently working as a regional director for a staffing company.

I'm a very active person trying to discover something new every single day. Fitness is very important in my life, I adore to go to the gym and practice all kinds of sports.

Gaining new experiences and socializing with people from all over the world means a lot to me and is something which I can really enjoy. This is why I travel a lot, visited a lot of countries already, and lived in the United States for some time.

I am also a great fan of music. Not a single day goes by where I am not listening to music. And of course, movies. A night with great company and great movies is a night I will be remembering.

I'm a very open-minded person, I believe that optimistic attitude towards life is the most important thing that can give a person real happiness.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm always eager to discover new cultures, because it's one of the best experiences ever. When I came to America for my student exchange program and met numerous interesting people from different countries I understood how much things I've never heard before exist in this world. That is why I am on Couchsurfing. I want to meet new people, I want to find more interesting facts about different cultures and share my own experience about the dutch culture. I want to discover new places and get acquainted with different languages. I think Couchsurfing is the best way to connect people and it will make my dreams come true.

I love deephouse/techhouse/industrial music. But I'm also a big fan of some alternative rock such as Good Charlotte, Ashes Remain, All Time Low etc.

I think it was when I lived in the United States and ended that period with a roadtrip along the westcoast for a month with friends.

What I Can Share with Hosts

First and foremost, I can share the interesting dutch culture with hosts. I believe that every culture is very interesting and worth sharing. So it will be great to meet new people from different cultures.
