关于我
I'm Joe. As of 2015, I have been actively engaged in the circus community. I basically travel around the world performing for children and various audiences. Juggling and clowning are my main passions. Otherwise, I love experiencing the variety of cultures around the world.
I would consider myself an easy going guy. I have a unquenchable desire for things spiritual and esoteric. I love talking about things like space, aliens, environmental issues, artificial intelligence, religion, history. I'm constantly imagining new ways to bring a little bit more joy to the world. I like any kind of music. I'll drink tea or coffee almost anytime of the day and delve into deep conversations late into the evening. I don't smoke, but if the occasion is suitable I'll share a couple drinks with good friends.
An air of caution, if you let me into your home, I'm known to bust out my circus props and turn peoples living rooms into a training environment and by the end of the evening, everyone will have learned at least three new juggling patterns.

Thanks for reading!

I have this profile because secretly, I would love to travel the world full time performing circus. That being said, I generally hate being a tourist. When I travel I always try to connect with the locals to gain as much sense about a culture. Furthermore, I believe my merit in life will boil down to the quality of relationships I build with people. I think nowadays because travel is relatively easy, it's very important for people across different cultures to gain as much perspective about our fellow human beings.
兴趣
When I was a teenager I spent most of my time practicing parkour and martial arts. I loved to read and hike long hours in nature. I was also really into meditation and eastern religious practices.
Once I was in the US Army but was separated on conditions of sleep apnea. Since I was separated it's no longer an issue, was a strange part of my life... After the military I stumbled upon a small community circus in a town called Salida, CO. I began teaching kids basic acrobatics and fitness, this all led to learning the ways of performance. Now, I feel as though I have my life purpose down, only how it expresses itself modifies as time continues. As of now, I basically travel around the globe (mainly to countries that are still developing and perform clown / circus shows for children. I'm also an affiliate with an organization called Clowns Without Borders where a troupe of performance artists go around to impoverished areas and perform.
Generally speaking, I spend most of my days training and planning how to travel and perform. I'm open to life, I tend to just say yes to opportunities and it's led me to some pretty amazing experiences.

音乐、电影和书籍
I think my favorite music and movies are a combination of Studio Ghibli films or anything done by Miyazaki. I love Japanese culture in all it's cool history and bizarre modern lifestyle isms. Lately, I haven't been reading much so I'm not too sure what to say my favorite books are. But I'm deeply fascinated by religion and things to do ancient traditions and practices. In my earlier youth the most inspiring book I read was Dan Millman's 'Way of the Peaceful Warrior.'
我做过的一件不可思议的事情
Ha.. Once I competed on American Ninja Warrior and the Japanese ninja warrior known as Sasuke! I did very well on the American version but fell on the second obstacle in Sasuke. If I were to do it again, I think I would do much better now, I've learned how to train my body more efficiently since then.
教,学,和分享
I can teach anything circus related besides aerial arts. I want to learn the languages of countries I visit. To be honest, I'm happy to learn just about anything.

Besides being kind of an eccentric guy, as I mentioned above, I tend to transform peoples home into sort of quasi circus training studio. I'm also very well connected with the circus community around the world, so if I bump into someone who's interested in the field I could definitely steer you in the right direction or at least put you in contact with the right people.
