PHILOSOPHY
embrace constraints as a necessary vehicle to real liberty

Music, Movies, and Books
favourite book is The Fall by Albert Camus
i like stories that are rooted in realism/truth but distort or manipulate that ie are subjective and ambiguous and the imagination is constrained by relatable boundaries. im not a fantasy fan. Beckett wrote the book(s) on this (Molloy/Malone Dies/Unnamable)
favourite band is The Fall by Mark E. Smith
but seriously i like a lot of music- mainly punk, postpunk jangly pop krautrock psychrock. i like musicians who play within themselves, use restraint repetition and reduction, and maintain a distance. So basically, the Fall in any arrangement are perfect. Especially if your grandma is on bongos. I also like jazz that sets up a structure and then attempts to escape/subvert those rules ie free jazz that isnt given TOO much freedom.
some film faves are Repulsion, Jules and Jim, Johnny Suede, Dead Man
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Crazy Horse twice on the alchemy tour 2013
Discovering ancient megafauna in the Adelaide hills, running away when a kangaroo got aggressive, and ultimately getting lost in the suburbs stuck to a magnetic bunyip
