Music, Movies, and Books

Reading interests tend toward non-fiction. Big on biography. Almost anything about sailing.
My favorite authors are Laura Ingalls Wilder, Orson Scott Card, John Steinbeck, David McCullogh, among many others. I recently read The Girl who kicked the hornets nest and couldn't put it down, but will not likely read the others in the trilogy.
FLASH! Just read "Eat, Love, Pray,(9-12) and can really relate to many of her themes even though I am a guy. Her writing style is so engaging.
FLASH, FLASH! (1-13) Born to Rise by Deborah Kenny; about founding a charter school in Harlem. Could not put it down.
Best Movie ever: Maytime (lots of singing) a sweet story and really jibes (a sailing term) with my ideas on love eternal.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most wonderful thing I have done is to raise 4 wonderful children; see them grow, marry and have lives and families of their own.
Way down the list from that was:
Hang gliding in Rio.
Sunrise over Lake Michigan.
1000 Islands on the Wisconsin Fox River
Fireworks in Egg Harbor, Wisconsin from the boat.
Cycling in Boulder area.
Hiking near Tuscon.
Blue Ridge Parkway.

Teach, Learn, Share

Learn to sail on Lake Michigan or paddle a canoe on a local river (Summer only and when I have time)
I know a little about Chicago area history and live in a historic area.
I read Swedenborg. Google him; Big topic.

Countries I’ve Visited

Brazil, England, Greece, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
