I'm Joel, wonderful to meet you! I am from the UK and love travelling and meeting people from all over the world!

I have been a member of CouchSurfing since 2017 (3 years and going strong!) I am very keen to stay true to the original philosophy of CouchSurfing; travelling should be about embracing the local community and sharing ideas and experiences and most importantly making friends all over the world.

I have been many things throughout my life, a Pharmacist, Psychologist (behavioural therapy), Personal Trainer yet my passion has been and probably always will be, performing magic!
I have been entertaining and performing magic professionally for over 10 years now. I observing people's reactions to certain effects and experimenting with cognitive manipulation providing a unique perspective to entertainment, offering something that perhaps you have never seen or experienced before! Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Life is about connection and kindness and the couch-surfing community has that in abundance!

I am planning a year long trip starting May 2021 (pandemic permitting:( ) and I would love to connect with as many new friends as I can on this journey.

I would love to meet up with any local people who can give me tips on some of the best places to visit or, if possible, open their home to me for a couple of nights in exchange for some great company and some magic and illusions!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Finding each other to share memories with!!

I have had some incredible experiences here at home, hiking across the beautiful Brecon Beacons, caving in the formidable Cheddar Gorge, getting naked and painted blue for Spencer Tunick's artwork (see the picture of all the blue naked people!)... I have been to university twice and have degrees and diplomas coming out of my ears! But nothing beats the thrill and the incredible memories formed when connecting, travelling and even performing.
I have travel across parts of Europe ( including Spain, France, Crete, Slovenia, Prague, Amsterdam) and several states in North America; Chicago, Arizona, Florida, Utah, Nevada, California and Atlanta
