ABOUT ME

I like to think that where I'm from, tells a lot about what I'm bringing to the table. To keep it short; I grew up with four sisters, as the only son of a potatofarmer and a schoolteacher on a farm in Western Jutland, Denmark. That way I had a vivid mixture of open space, play, games and hard work from an early age and I believe that's why I value time, creativity, imagination and effort.I consider myself down-to-earth and I suspect that to some people this might come off as a bit vague, but I stay very openminded and I rarely take offense.
Just don't treat me as a tool and I promise to act on the same simple principle.My name is Jørgen, which is the danish equivalent of George, Giorgio, Jorge or Jürgen. You can call me 'Joe' if my name is a bit too difficult for either your keyboard or your verbal habits. I'll try and teach you the pronounciation if we meet. On an end-note, I like the etymology of the name, which is originally greek for 'earthworker' - something very grounding about that origin...

PHILOSOPHY

I'd gladly talk about philosophy if we meet and you are interested, but I don't want to put much effort in describing it here. I really enjoy the fact that we as human beings have so very different expressions and everyone adds quality to one another.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm sorry to say that so far I have only been a surfer, but I hope someday to be able to offer a couch.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Travelled North America by couchsurfing and greyhound busses for 7 weeks along with a friend of mine. It was an invaluable experience and I hope to go back and stay a little longer at my favorite places.

At this point in time, I'd like to learn some more French or Yoga.I might be able to teach you some philosophy, but I actually have no particularly refined skills to brag about. Maybe someday I'll be more extra-ordinary, but for now I'm just a very average guy.
