About Me

I've been in Portland since 2007 and have been exploring and learning as much as possible. I organize trips into the wilderness and up mountains to get away from it all. You'll find me mountain climbing, kayaking, biking almost anywhere in the world.

People most comment on my smile and my height, I'm 6'4"!

I'd really like to visit at least as many countries as I am old. I'm a bit behind, so I need to keep going!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I seek to discover new cultures, and people. I challenge the 'normal', because there are so many different normals out there. The best way to discover that is to go to different parts of the globe and experience that normal. If we all share and treat each other respectfully what a change we can make!

Interests

If I'm traveling, I typically want to climb a mountain and find a geocache. I've found a geocache in every country I've visited :) Did I say I love to bike?

Music, Movies, and Books

Moves: Cloud Atlas, Inseption,
Books: I'm into personal development books? Sound skinda lame, but true. Just read/listened to The Prophet by Kahill Gibran. (Its an old one and likely translated into your native language)
Music: Electronic dance, I recently dug up Da Hool - meet her at the Loveparade. <3

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lead a team of 5 to the summit of Mt. Rainier, Washington, USA (14,400ft)

Teach, Learn, Share

Stepping outside of my comfort zone helps me grow. Each year, I find myself accelerating how I learn and become more empathetic and understanding to people different than myself.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love cooking! Let's make a feast.
At the same time I love going out and enjoying dinner with the company of others.
Good food and good company can't be beat.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Austria, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, France, Germany, India, Liechtenstein, Mexico, Panama, Poland, Switzerland, Taiwan, United States
