ABOUT ME

I am originally from the US but have been living in Japan since 1991. My wife (Japanese) and I have 3 kids 18, 15 and 15. Our daughter has just moved to Kyoto to attend University so we have a spare room in our house. We have hosted exchange students and friends of friends many times. We look forward to meeting many Couchsurfers from all over the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We love to meet new people and hear of their adventures. We have had a few ourselves and plan on couchsurfing more when our kids finish college.

Interests

Watching: Baseball (Hanshin Tigers), Basketball (Wakayama Trians) and Soccer (Manchester United). Doing: Aikido and Piano. I love exploring fun places with my wife.

I love all kinds of music, my favorite is Chicago Blues. Movies and books: too many to list. My favorite: the last good book I have read or movie I have seen.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was a university student I took a bicycle and headed for Europe. A great way to tour, you can easily meet people and explore any corner.
