I'm a curious person who would rather know one place well than lots of places not very well.

Work in London, schooled in Oxford, lived in Milan and Lyon. Always interested in a personal recommendation over a guide book. I love to talk about films, books and art, and find a good meal one of life's chief pleasures (these combined: even better).

Travelling around the south of France, I experienced from Couchsurfing hosts some of the greatest hospitality I've ever received.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

My friend and I stayed with a Bedouin in the Wadi Rum desert in Jordan. He took us to do his favourite nighttime activity with him: driving around looking for desert foxes. Since the foxes are scared by light, he turned the headlights of the old Jeep off, and we just drove around for hours in the moonlight looking for them.

We didn't find any.
