About Me
I always find it hard to describe myself in words, but I will try my best.
While all of my ancestors are from China, I am proud to say that I was born an raised in Indonesia. I went to the United States in 2013 for an exchange program, and it made me realize that I have interests into exploring the world more. Moreover, I want to "pay-it-forward", the great kindness that has been done by my host family in the States, so I decided that I might be able to host some people from Couchsurfing, though I am pretty sure that I cannot be as great as my host family.
Wanting to continue the adventure, I decided to pursue my university education in Japan, the place that has advanced technology while still protecting the cultural sides. I am studying Chemical Engineering in Tokyo, and have been living in Tokyo for almost 2 years. Everything and everyone has been very nice so far, and I am loving it so much. Different from Kyoto and Osaka, Tokyo, as the capital city of Japan is pretty much a big city that has many office buildings. However, it does not mean that you cannot find any cultural sites attractions. Unless you like big city, 7 days exploring Tokyo would be enough, I guess, not more. (but you can stay longer if you want, of course)
Being friendly and open-minded has helped me to cope with my environment. I used to be a part of minorities; less than 1% of Indonesians who are Buddhist, but it didn't stop me from growing and learning. Instead, I feel special that I can be part of society with diversity. I have never, and will never want to judge someone because they are different from me, but I always love to have an open discussion about our differences.
One of my hobbies is to try new things and challenge myself. I rarely say "no" to something that I think I can do. I also love to talk. I can stay up all night and talk to you non-stop (seriously you have to remind me when to stop talking). I think I have to stop my introduction here or otherwise I would not stop talking.

Interests
FOOD! I only eat three times a day, but spend 24 hours thinking about food. This is the reason why I always fail losing some weights. Never hated sports or exercising, but always fail to keep my motivation to continue doing it lol. I had experience playing basketball, badminton, shot put and discuss (yeah, part of track and field, if you include it into sports), and also light-running, but I am still open to any other fun sports that someone can introduce to me.
Definitely not a good singer, but I love going to karaoke. It has been one of popular culture, as well as big industry in Japan, so no wonder that everyone, including foreigners who are staying in Japan also enjoy going to karaoke. Also, I love to learn a new language, so I would be thrilled to meet someone who can share several words on the languages that I have never heard before.
And yes, I am kind of a social-media addicts, especially Instagram. I also have more that 20k posts on my twitter. Therefore, it is actually very easy to keep in touch with me through social media. But don't worry, I would not die if I don't have those in my hand.
