I grew up on a small island about 35minutes by ferry from the largest city (Auckland) in New Zealand. I have since lived in the capital city, Wellington, where I studied and hopefully plan to work in the future.

I am now travelling through the Balkans, Iran, Georgia, Turkey, and back into Eastern Europe before returning to New Zealand in December to start my career.

I love sports (particularly basketball and rugby), am interested in politics, fascinated by the rich history in these areas, and am keen to learn about different cultures (and food!).

Love getting to know locals as a window into what life is like in a place, and I’m keen to share some things about New Zealand.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In most of the previous travel I have done, the best experiences I’ve had were meeting and staying with locals. I want to continue those experiences!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Very eclectic, love all genres (except, maybe, metal).
Movies: Big fan of comedy, however, my favourite movies are often something I would not expect.
Books: Love a good murder mystery, but am trying to read more non-fiction books and learn about history and politics.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I grew up on small eco-farm without any mains-electricity and no flush toilet. Everything seems like a luxury now.

Can play guitar to an intermediate level, am a decent cook, can tutor Geography and Environmental Studies to a university level ;)
