Documentary filmmaker currently living in NYC.

Avid hiker and explorer. I used to make a web series called "Adventure Katz" (youtube.com/adventurekatz) which won a student Emmy for reality web series.

I've hopped freight trains and hitchhiked across the US making a film. I've also hiked 800 miles of the Appalachian Trail (hoping to finish it all soon!).

I love to meet people in the places I go. It always nicer to meet locals then to stay at a hostel with other travelers, i feel like when I stay at hostels it feels like home which I am getting away from in my travels.

Hosting is how I travel even when I don't have the time to. The most interesting people come right to my front door. I like to pay it forward because of all the friendly people who have helped me along the way in my travels.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I left all my money, credit cards, and cell phone at home and hopped on a freight train out of Savannah GA. I train hopped and hitchiked over 1000 miles back to my family in upstate NY. I don't know what I was running away from but I just needed to get away.
