About Me

ABOUT ME

Just like any typical Singaporean who loves to travel, I prefer the budget style more. I enjoy new experiences, meeting new people, some adrenaline rush and many times, a good cup of tea and people watching. I'm not a party-goer, just a netflix junkie at times, and being a crazy cat lady whenever I sees one.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Traveling long term really requires me to strap my wallet tight. I would mainly rely on a hostel for accommodation, but I would definitely like to meet more locals and hang around if you have great hospitality!

I would suffice with a minimum of a couch or even better, a room to use. I'll definitely enjoy the interaction with the host and best the best guest that I can be! So I hope that there will be a chance for me to crash on your couch for a night or two :)

Interests

I studied psychology, worked in a speech & language pathology department, serving clients with cerebral palsy. I'm a crazy cat lover, does pet-sitting back in Singapore. A rational fan of kpop, k-culture, and as an asian, I'm also quite well-versed in Asian culture.

Music, Movies, and Books

I read quite a bit of Chinese literature, and non-fic. The only love I have for English fic is HARRY POTTER!

For other English book, I prefer non-fic that’s related to psychology, sociology etc

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

22 countries in a span of 3 months. The most eventful time I ever had!
I think backpacking is probably the most amazing thing I've done overall. I was an introvert with little confidence and poor in social skills. Traveling alone helped me to step up to challenge that I need to overcome. Every success brought me confidence and even the failures gave me more strength. The experience I've gained over each trip just equipped me with a brighter personality and confidence.

The people I've met, no matter they are just a acquaintance or developed into a friendship, they are all an important part of history that made me a person I am now.

Teach, Learn, Share

From most of my experience so far, most people asked me a lot about Singapore, and Asian culture the most, which is what I have the most to share with. As a bilingual native of English and Mandarin, I have little issues teaching either language.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As I am traveling for months, there is very little tangible stuff from my countries I can share. But I am a decent cook, I am willing to prepare some Asian dishes or even Singaporean dishes for the host to taste!
As a crazy cat lover, I can also offer to help you cat-sit (I don't mind dogs too) if the host is out for work.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Cambodia, China, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Hong Kong, Hungary, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Laos, Latvia, Lithuania, Malaysia, Moldova, Mongolia, Montenegro, Myanmar, New Zealand, Norway, Romania, Russian Federation, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United States, Vatican City State, Viet Nam
