I grew up in a cohousing community, with lots of neighbors, who are like my family.

When I was 15, I dropped out of high school, and found a job in a French restaurant. There I learned how to cook, and that I love doing it. A few years later I had had enough with the stress of working in this restaurant, and knew I needed to travel... I took off to France, made some amazing friends, and continued to travel Europe.

Now I'm setting sail for California in my land crüzer! (2004 Honda Odyssey mini van).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel... The biggest, and best part of traveling, is connecting with people, and the place I'm in. I have lots of activities that bring me joy, and when doing them with others, they're even better. I also like learning new things from people. School wasn't for me... I love to learn, through doing with other people.

Interests

I'm super passionate about all those things I listed above. Playing music and cooking, really get me in a flow, and are made even better when shared. I'm a major fooodie, I like checking out new restaurants just to judge them on everything. I follow sports, yankees, my fantasy fb, Virginia tech are my teams... I like watching other teams with their respective passionate fans... Always gives me a deeper respect for other teams. I don't go anywhere without my longboard. And having a present conversation... nothing better.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I jumped up on a stage in front of an unexpecting crowd of 120, ripped off my shirt, and played air guitar for 30 seconds.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm not a super extrovert, so writing and sharing all of this to people I don't know yet, is kind of hard. Meeting new people on the spot is not easy for me, but I like being with people so much, that I've learned to overcome my anxiety.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A quality conversation, a quality meal, and maybe a solid jam session. I really like to cook for people especially with whatever ingredients are available, no matter how random.
