About Me

--Fully vaccinated since April-- I am a college student at Miami of Ohio who studies English Literature and history. I love to travel, and spent three months of my gap year in Europe (on a $2000 budget, flight included!). I love cheap travel and have found that the things I remember most are the people I meet. I love to read and get deep, but I am also a major extrovert who can really fit in anywhere and loves to have conversations about anything under the sun.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's as simple as Couchsurfing being a much more exciting way to travel. I'm also a total extrovert, so it's much more fun for me to meet people in new cities through Couchsurfing. I try to hang out with all my hosts, because I love making friends, but if you have other things going on, I don't mind doing my own thing!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music- Anything! But my favorites are Folk and Classic Rock
Books- The Brothers Karamazov and The Picture of Dorian Gray. Plus anything by Twain, Vonnegut, or Kafka
Movies- Do the Right Thing, The Departed, and anything by Mel Brooks

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Slept in a bookstore in central Paris for ten days
Missed a flight to London to hike down the Rheinsteig Trail in the Rheinland
Spending Easter with the nicest family on earth in a tiny Belgian village :)
I started a volunteer program in Edina that pairs high school students with young children who are struggling with their reading skills.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm going to study history in college, and I'm super well-versed in American History. I will gladly teach you some American History! I think the American experiment is the most compelling thing to happen in history.

And of course, I have a million and one stories to tell :) I try to think of myself as a decent storyteller.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A drink, and if you want I'll write you a shitty poem. I'm also a standup comedian, so I have a limitless amount of jokes I can tell you!

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Netherlands

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
