I'm Joey ...that's my birth name and not short for anything . I'm ready for some travelling adventures...more often than I have been able to. The last time I had a real one was in 2009....to London and Paris. I never knew couchsurfing existed until I met someone last year who lived abroad for 7 years and couchsurfed often. It's brilliant and I'm looking forward to making travel a more consistent part of my life than it is currently.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am planning a budget friendlier trip to Norway/Sweden this coming January. I will be solo so it would be wonderful to meet people and make friends while I'm traveling. My ultimate hope is to see aurora borealis while I'm there ....along with the spectacular scenery and people I will meet.

I would also like to explore the community locally and show travelers around where I live.

I don't get to travel much I want travel to become a more fluid part of my life. Meeting from other places around the world will help me keep in touch with that goal.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy many types of music but I mostly listen to alternative rock, contemporary folk, indie, classic rock, some EDM, R&B/Soul old and new, some hip hop too.

Movies... too many to name. Hedwig and the Angry Inch is one of my faves though.

Books... been in a reading drought, but tend to read non fiction mostly...referential or anecdotal in various subjects that interest me or personal growth books.
