Overview
About Me
Most would identify me as a petite femme with fierce passion and zest for life. My philosophy includes living life to the fullest and taking risks, which would spell tons of trouble and suffering if I didn't possess a stubborn optimism in times of darkness.
I study philosophy in the National University of Singapore, but I consider myself more inclined towards Literature, especially fiction. My dream is to build a cozy house with heavy bookshelves lining every wall within, and fill them slowly with imagined worlds and universes contained within pages. I think it is appropriate to call myself a romantic idealist, with a preference for residing in the world within my mind and occasionally peeking out to wave hi!
I strongly believe in the self, to build one's identity with no fear of second opinions. That said, I welcome invigorating conversations that stimulates oneself to reflect, and change for the better if one accepts a particular argument or criticism.
I may seem to have a hardy, impenetrable exterior, but I try my best to shelve it away in times of meeting new people, especially while travelling :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love meeting new people, and especially when I'm overseas! Although I am not able to house guests in my home as my parents are not open to the idea, I hope I may be a good guest to you :)
Interests
I'm open to trying new things, but when in want of peace and leisure, I always fall back on:
Reading, writing, dancing, sports, intimate conversations with 1-2 people (maximum), exploring new places, watching movies, knitting, learning handicraft skills :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: ANGUS AND JULIA STONE IS MY NEW FAVORITE ARTIST
- that being said, I'm a fan of acoustic and soft rock.
Movies: Anything with a cleverly-written storyline, preferably injected with witty/dry/dark humor; artsy films in general, with brilliant colors and cinematography
- horror/psychological thrillers are completely out of the question
Books: I love books, but my favorites are often classic literature e.g. Dickens, Fitzgerald, Louisa May Alcott...the list goes on forever
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I missed a final exam in my first semester of university ;)
