About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To race my bike in every state of the US
ABOUT ME
My name is Joey and I am a graduate student working on my Master's degree in Health and Kinesiology at Purdue University. Cycling is a huge part of my life: I'm an elite level cyclist, so I spend hours a day training and racing, I coach, promote races, fix bikes, and help others fall in love with the sport. My life revolves around two wheels.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe the world can be made a better place one bike at a time. You can't ride with a frown, it's just not possible!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love showing people around town and teaching people new skills. Need to learn how to fix your bike, let me know!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Staying with hosts is a huge part of the bike racing experience. I've made countless friends throughout my 5 years of racing. The cycling community is super friendly and welcoming.
Interests
Besides biking, I love to cook, read, drink coffee, and sleep! I've also been known to be a little bit of a party animal if the mood/time is right.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm pretty open to music and movies. As for reading, anything on sports ethics, philosophy, or biographies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Cycling has taken me to the majority of the US states, Canada, and Mexico. I've seen the Sea of Cortez, the Rocky Mountains, the Gulf of Mexico, and countless cities and land marks.
