Über mich
Heyho...
I'm one of those humans lost in the possibilities of this life.
People and myself call me Joey (he/him).
Currently on my big Journey into more than just my plain life. :)
Finishing my Bachelor studies I recently went basically nomadic and started my long overdue travels into the big world and now into other fields of interests as well.
Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin
I only see advantages over other types of travel.
The most important point for me is to be actually (kind of) living in the places you visit, especially on longer visits, and having the chance to meet all kinds of nice people.
In all: Searching for the lucky opportunities :)
Also my flatmate used to host some in my old dormitory and they too gave a big recommendation to couchsurf.
Interessen
My life is a mess of too many interests I'm trying to satisfy at the same time.
I do like it like that, but sometimes its hard to really advance in one direction. :D
For the broader picture:
While having studied IT and electronics,
my main interests shifted away from it during the last years back
to more music and a passion for dance. Generally more artsy stuff.
The combination leads perfectly to capoeira which i also happen to love and which inspires me to visit Brasil :)
I'm also doing voluntary work with youths and have much fun doing that.
In between, I practice chess, exploring nature and urban environments, sometimes play pnp-rpgs with friends, started to draw.
Now my spirit got to find its places while traveling :P
- capoeira
- coffee
- chess
- music
- dance
- pnp
- outdoorsy stuff
- a bit of art
Musik, Filme und Bücher
Well... Many different stuff (who would have thought :P)
The first things that comes to mind right now:
Books:
Steppenwolf by Hermann Hesse,
Utopia Avenue by David Mitchell,
Homo Deus by Yuval Harari
Movie:
Grand Budapest Hotel and similar,
Studio Ghiblis'
Music:
MPB, Post-Rocky, experimental instrumental, or some small German Bands, and especially everything created in the moment ;)
Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe
Through feedback realizing, that I achieved my personal development goal, I set at the age of 15 :),
well now I am in this mess of everything :P
As far as traveling is concerned:
I hope here will be some great stuff soon.
-Hitchhiking from Montenegro to Germany was a nice experience.
-Also busking in front of the Tower of Pisa (totally Rockstar :D), completing one whole gig before being shooed away is a personal favorite
-Sailing from Portugal via Canarias and Cabo Verde to South America was also an amazing adventure.
Lehren, lernen, teilen
I always seek to learn stuff, that's probably my main drive forward.
Truth be told, I find it difficult to know beforehand what I can share, be all over the metaphoric place, but no specialist anywhere, but it really makes me happy when I realize I can pass on some knowledge :)
I'm especially happy if I can share some of my knowledge about playing guitar or music in general, teach someone chess, help with computer problems (if it can be helped) (esp. DIY projects), teach or share ideas about dance and movement or theorize with someone through improbable settings or imaginative worlds :)
All those things I'm invested in.
Was ich mit Gastgebern teilen kann
Sharing and teaching my perspectives and knowledge about different (social and a bit contemporal) dances, as well as music in theory or practice.
Listening and sharing interests in work, problems, life stories, dreams...
