About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Enjoying the April festivals in N.O.
ABOUT ME
Raised in New Orleans, have family in the U.S. and Venezuela. I'm currently working in design at a product development firm and really enjoy what I do - especially because it brings me to the SF Bay area often. When in New Orleans, I spend a good deal of my free time going to see live music or occupying a seat at one of the many local watering holes. Cliche-ic though it might seem, I enjoy meeting new people and showing them around my city, i.e. I enjoy spreading the gospel of New Orleans - it still needs work, but as some would have you to believe is not devastated and could use some visitors. I'm drawn to cities with cultural richness, good food, and good music - though those generally go hand in hand.
PHILOSOPHY
Work to live - not the other way around. Balance. Treat others as you'd like to be treated. "One generation plants the tree...the next enjoys the shade."

Music, Movies, and Books
Just finished three cups of tea, the world is flat, freakonomics - found the former two inspirational, the last entertaining. Magazines: i.d, good, anything with the outdoors or racecars; one of my guilty pleasures is going to the local bookstore, getting a stack of 20 magazines and flipping through them over a cup of coffee. Disclaimer: You should mention your favorite book/movie in your request to let me know you actually read through my profile and are not churning out mass requests.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Boated/hiked to Angel Falls - and almost didn't see it - the previous group had their view obscured by the clouds. It's that high.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a fair amount about my city - some stories of why things are the way they are, the music scene, some good places for food both on and off the beaten path. Know a fair share about salsa dancing - stems from visiting family in Venezuela and discovering that I was pretty terrible, then coming back and getting involved with the (recovering) New Orleans salsa scene. Love to grill out - I have two.
