About Me

CURRENT MISSION To live deliberately, to see as much as I can. To experience the rest of the world as locally, authentically, and peacefully as possible.
ABOUT ME I am currently a resident of Los Angeles, CA, US. Originally a farm boy from Defiance, Iowa, US. I am always ecstatic to meet new people and try new things in new places.
PHILOSOPHY
Be kind, be curious, be daring, be smart.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To use the resources available to help me travel cheaply and authentically, meeting local people in a low key environment. I also want to help others have affordable, exciting adventures by offering them my couch, when it's available. I have hosted friends of friends before but only a couple people through the app, I’m hoping to host more people soon.

Interests

Food, Photography, Philosophy, History, Music, Reading, Fixing, Exploring, Loitering, Tinkering, Traveling, Learning, Laughing, Dancing, Biking, Camping.

Music, Movies, and Books

Some my favorite movies are: Wall-E, Sunshine, There Will Be Blood, 2001, How to Train Your Dragon, True Romance, Blues Brothers, Her and all (almost) Tarantino movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I backpacked from Mexico. to Beliez, to Guatemala (and back to mexico) with my dad at 15 years old. It opened my eyes to the world beyond my comfort zone and to the ideas of people I'd never imagined existed.

Teach, Learn, Share

I work in Set Lighting so I can share the way I see light and I can share some strange tales of Hollywood.

I’m hoping to learn more about how other people live in the places I travel. And I’d like to learn more sustainable agriculture

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer hosts an easy guest to get a long with, good stories, thoughtful conversation, someone who cleans up after themselves, and I'm not a bad cook.
