About Me

How can I possibly tell about myself without sounding too ambitious? Such an impossible task, but here goes

I'm an extrovert person who enjoys doing random things. I'm not surprise if I wake up the next morning on the top of the mountain, or in higher possibility, not waking up at all until my mom pour water on me.

I'm working in a very cool Disney-aspired animation studio just 30 minutes outside of KL. I sit on the boss' chair. Just because it's extra comfy. I'm a oenologist turned compositor overnight.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In a hurtful honesty, Couchsurfing saves my pocket in a whole new way!

But look at it in a more positive way, Couchsurfing hosts are the most generous homo sapiens alive! Who would just welcome strangers into their house and let them invade the sacred space where the TV is! Sometimes, sharing coffee and toast, or even their favourite breakfast cereal and a healthy dosage of fresh milk. That's a culture every people who travel share among themselves. Being selfless, giving and sharing, being considerate and generous and nice and sometimes with a slight hope that the favour is return in another life, like next month if they happen to visit the country.

But in all honesty, I like the idea of staying / hanging out with people who shares the passion in traveling. Often, hosts are locals who knows better than your outdated Lonely Planet books or the biased reviews on Trip Advisor. If you can't travel around the world, meeting people from around the world is the next best thing.

Interests

I'm currently obsessed with mountain bagging. I started climbing again last year, after the long hiatus since I returned to Malaysia. I bagged 15 mountains in NZ, Europe and Asia. My goal this is to climb the 7 Summits.

Apart from activities that involves staying in a tent and collecting mud on my boots, I also enjoy extreme sports such as sleeping and eating. However, I am always better at jumping out of airplane that I got certified as a skydiver.

In my younger years, I used to do skydiving, skateboarding, snowboard and inline skating. I have good collection of broken bones in which I'm very proud of. Later on, I found similar sports that doesn't require falling down on a hard surface such as surfing and wake boarding. I think I just grow smarter!

I also always have interest in cooking, I mean, someone else's cooking. However, I make a good cook in the kitchen. As a proof, I never burn the house.

Music, Movies, and Books

I look grunge in person but when no 1 is around I sing along and dance to boyband, pretend to be DJ while the EDM songs are playing and air drumming to pop songs.

I like watching old movies just because I can't afford (the time to watch) the latest ones at the cinema. There's also Netflix that offers pretty good selections, but I always prefer the small screen on the flight for God knows why.

My favourite books are the collector edition of Harry Potter boxsets, left unboxed and looking neat on my bookshelf. My least favourite book is my bank book. Every time I open it, it whispers to me a vacation at my backyard. How inconsiderate!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I grow up.

Teach, Learn, Share

What is this supposed to mean?

What I Can Share with Hosts

My point of view about the current political and economic issues KIDDING!

I can share some how-to-play-guitar-without-knowing-the-chord tricks, my favourite cookies and "inspirational" (do the hand gestures) stories from my travel in no particular order.

I'm also a seasonal tour guide in Arctic. If you ever going, buzz me for a free tour to catch the Northern lights.
