Overview
About Me
Originally from Atlanta. Moved to Nashville in 2008 to attend Vanderbilt. Now I work in public health. If I'm not working I'm traveling ... which I probably do way too much :-/
I am gay ... but it neither defines me or is something that people usually know or suspect when they meet me. I have more straight friends than gay / lgbt (that may just be because there are more straight people in the world haha). Either way it's irrelevant to my lifestyle for the most part. I love hosting new friends here through CS ... never surfed with anyone myself while traveling ... I usually forget it's an option until I'm already in town somewhere lol (LOVE visiting new hostels and campgrounds :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Usually to host people here in Nashville as a way of meeting new friends from around the world. I happen to be a total nerd when it comes to random facts about Nashville, and definitely know all the local spots Nashville completely different from the average tourist experience. Plus... my bulldog Elizabeth happens to be a people person :)
Interests
Hiking. Camping. Hostels. Public high risk healthcare career. Traveling to new cities and countries. I happen to love airports and emergency rooms for some reason :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Top 40 usually, Kanye, Akon, Eminem, John Mayer. Dub step. Club remixes. I love thrillers and murder mysteries. I only read non-fiction...and usually it's work related.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Bungee jumped into the worlds deepest cavern. Scared the shit out of me.
Teach, Learn, Share
Part of my career involves leading internships and training others who work in Public Healthcare ... so I'm always teaching (probably one of the things I love most about my job). I am constantly reading and learning new things about new people, places, things, cultures, experiences, taboos, traditions, practices ... and life in general. The thing that makes me the happiest is sharing my life with those I love ... and those I get to spend time with.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I know the city well. And if you enjoy hiking and camping - I know some great places!
