About Me
Currently traveling until 09/2022! :D
I'm a friendly, sociable and endlessly curious guy with wide-ranging interests. I enjoy meeting people, experiencing new cultures & discovering new places.
My background is IT/Engineering but now I work in finance. I still really enjoy coding things up though ;-)
I live in London, happy to meet new people here. Before that, I lived in Amsterdam. I enjoy culture and the arts and I really take advantage of diversity of things on offer here. I'm always in for a good party (but I can be picky in terms of music). I'm sportive, but not a sports follower. But above all, I love to travel. Especially to places not overflown with tourism yet. When I visit a new place I'm equally interested in seeing all the sights as getting to know the local people, culture and customs.
My philosophy: You can only really start to understand the world by your own independent exploration.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Over the last 10 years, Couchsurfing has brought me many great experiences with people as amazing as they were diverse. I was hosted by people in all kinds of settings, met with others for music performances and festivals, city tours or just a drink and a nice conversation. In Amsterdam I was able to host several people and met up with many others. But the best part are the few long lasting friendships I've made with people all over the world.
So far I've couchsurfed in 30 countries: Algeria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Canada, Chad, Denmark, France, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, Iceland, Iran, Ireland, Ivory Coast, Kazakhstan, Mauritania, Moldova, Nigeria, Pakistan, Poland, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somaliland, South Korea, Sweden, Tajikistan, Togo, Tunisia, United States of America, Ukraine, Uzbekistan
Please note: Couchsurfing is not a dating platform!
Interests
Music, performance arts (opera, ballet, dance, theatre), traveling, science, technology, news (I wouldn't say I'm a news junkie, however I really like to be on top of things), politics (I'm a social liberal), nature, cuisine/wine (I love trying local specialities), architecture, art, sports (doing, not watching), foreign culture, and much more!
