About Me

Hi, I’m Joginder from India 👋

I love travelling, meeting new people, and learning about different ways of living. For me, Couchsurfing is not just about finding a place to stay — it’s about sharing cultures, making friends, and creating real human connections.

I’m an easygoing, respectful, and open-minded person. I enjoy conversations about life, culture, and travel experiences. At the same time, I also value personal space and quiet moments.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I believe the best way to know a city is through its people. Staying with locals or meeting travellers gives me a deeper experience than just being a tourist.
I want to share stories, food, and laughter with people from around the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

🎶 Music

I enjoy all kinds of music depending on the mood — from peaceful Indian classical & meditation music to Bollywood hits, and from soft rock & jazz to world music. On long journeys, I love listening to acoustic and soulful tracks.

🎬 Movies

I like movies that inspire and make me think. Some favourites:

Adventure & Travel films – Into the Wild, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty

Inspiring stories – The Pursuit of Happyness, Life of Pi

Classics & World Cinema – Forrest Gump, 3 Idiots (India), Amélie (France)

📚 Books

I enjoy books on travel, spirituality, and self-growth. A few I like:

The Alchemist – Paulo Coelho

Siddhartha – Hermann Hesse

Autobiography of a Yogi – Paramahansa Yogananda

Travel stories and biographies that give new perspectives on life

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I’ve done was travelling solo to Raman Ashram in Tiruvannamalai. Spending time there in silence and meditation was a completely new experience for me — it showed me how powerful stillness can be and how travel is not only about new places, but also about discovering yourself.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach:
I can share about Indian culture, traditions, and food. I enjoy cooking simple Indian dishes and teaching a few Hindi words or phrases.

Learn:
I love learning about local lifestyles, languages, and customs wherever I travel. I’m always curious to try new food, listen to new music, and learn new perspectives.

Share:
I can share stories from my travels, positivity, and meaningful conversations. I also like sharing meditation practices that help me stay balanced. Most of all, I enjoy exchanging smiles, laughter, and friendship.
