I'm a Swedish student from the city of Uppsala who is currently doing an exchange year in Brussels, Belgium. I love to meet new people, especially from other countries and cultures to exchange ideas and views with. I also love to learn different languages!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Seeing as Sweden is quite on the edge of Europe it's not very easy to visit different countries (except if you go by plane of course) so now that I'm going to be spending a whole year more in the middle of the continent I want to travel as much as possible! The fact that couchsurfing makes it so easy to meet new people and to get to know the countries I visit "for real" makes it very appealing!

Interests

Traveling is my main interest in life I would say. In a way I feel more at home when I'm not in Sweden, I love the feeling of being abroad! Every new meeting gets so much more interesting when it's somebody who doesn't speak the same native language as I do and doesn't have the same background, culture or habits as me. It doesn't matter if I'm in a very touristy area or some place where only locals go, I love both experiences!
Apart from that I like to work out and to go running, even though I don't do it as much as I should. Linguistics and politics are also things that interest me very much! Talking about those things with people from other countries

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to literally everything when it comes to music! Mostly pop/rock but my spotify playlists include everything from rock to jazz. I don't think I have anyfavorite bands/singers, I just take what I think is good from everybody.
I don't read as much as I would like to, but so far my favorite books are the Hunger Games. When it comes to movies I prefer horror for some reason, although I very much enjoy good comedies, action and drama as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living and working in France is so far the most amazing thing I've done. I've been working in Disneyland during two summers and one Christmas, and that's probably the best experience of my life so far. It had everything I was looking for: a fun job (well, most of the time...), getting the chance to live in another country and getting friends for life from all over Europe.

I love to share what I know with people who are interested, especially when it comes to politics and languages! Converesly, I love to learn things about other countries.
