About Me

I'm an ENFJ-A who loves getting lost in a city and I am terrible at describing myself.
I am a type of guy that tries to keep an optimistic mindset. I can get very enthusiastic and energetic in a conversation when hitting the right talking point, but I can sometimes be quite calm as well. Conversation with me can become quite long (since I love talking and sharing ideas), so don't feel bad for cutting me off:)

I love adventures, small and big, whether it be hiking a mountain, pub crawl, or joining in on an ongoing soccer game with strangers.

I am an older and younger brother and am in a mono relationship, where my we have been together for over 4 years.

Currently I’m traveling the world with my buddy Daniel (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/daniel-ulrich-3)
:). We have been traveling for 2 months and are going for a 3 months and 20 days in total. We started our journey in Malaga in Spain, then headed to Seoul in South Korea, and then we went to Japan, where we have been all over the country. We started in party capital of Japan, Osaka (and did not party in Osaka), then of to Kobe, went sight seeing in Kyoto and Nara. Went to the isle of Shikoku, to the coast/mountains/shrines of Shimane, onsen heaven Beppu, took the shinkansen to its most southern stop and to Hokkaido, And now we are in the beast Tokyo.

I don’t like to stand in the way of others, and like to be very efficient with my days (although find myself sleeping a little too long once in a while).
I value honesty above most things in life, and like to be very open about myself.

When it comes to hobbies, then I am very good at gaining short term hobbies. Occasionally, I might try put a lot of effort into learning chess, piano, guitar, or something entirely different. For me the learning and gaining a new skill is really fun. I have for a very long time practiced jiujutsu (although I have taken major breaks since covid, so I'm a bit rusty), and I'm currently learning programming (C, C#)

Previously, I have worked as a gin bartender for a couple of years, swimming coach, receptionist, and as a packer in an airport. When I come back from my trip I will work in a distillery as a bartender/gin-specialist and I will start studying quantum physics (batchelor).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

(I'm trying to ask the locals where I can find a Phillips oneblade, since I broke mine 6 weeks ago and have been on a quest to find one ever since. Traversing the mountains in Shikoku and zooming inside the city of tokyo, only to come back empty handed.) - Update I found it!!

Other than that, I really really love traveling🌏.
I love meeting new people, sharing experiences or making new ones with them. I love meeting culture, discovering new things/experiences and embracing myself in them. And I love food☺️.
I would say I'm pretty outgoing and love to explore new places and genuinely enjoy exploring cities and finding the spots that the locals adore, which is why I really love the idea of going out to meet the locals and see the city from their perspective.
When I have stayed with someone, I always think back on it with great joy. People are awesome and I can't get enough of CS.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a very mixed taste when it comes to music. I like pop, rap, rock, metal, disco, k-pop, jazz, classical, but I do draw the line at death metal, and maybe taylor swift.

I really enjoy movies, but typically not romance or mystery movies. (my all time favourite is probably Iron Man)

I enjoy reading from time to time - mostly political or philosophical books, but occasionally I find a book a book that I like and does not fit those genres. My favourites are Perfume - Patrick suskind, Animal farm - George Orwell, the fountainhead - Ayn Rand and Atomic Habits - James Clear
