The first thing you should know about me is that even though I find my hair in my profile picture okay I usually try to add a little bit more volume.

Secondly, I am always trying to learn new things whether theoretical stuff like literature, math, science, history, languages (any theoretical topic really) or life stuff like you know being a good person, having fun, collecting experiences ... Concerning the latter I just realised during a walk today (june 11th) that travelling would be a good way to broaden these studies. I will take the bus to Germany next week.

Thirdly (okay, from now on I'll stop counting), I can either be shy or outgoing when meeting a new person and I don't really understand the mechanism behind the variation, but if I seem shy or is just really failing the small talk please start talking to me about books because I love books.

Squarely (starting geometrical counting now), I am going to start my undergraduate studies in math this autumn and find all things math and science really interesting and love talking about it. However, most of my life my theoretical interests have been centered around the humanities rather being in love with writing and all things literature first and foremost.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I asked my friend what the cheapest way of getting a place to sleep while travelling is and she said I could couchsurf which gave me two images in my head: 1) Surfing the web while sitting on a couch, 2) Riding a wave with a couch as my board. Then I googled and found this place and felt like oh what a nice way to have adventures. While the whole idea of staying at the home of someone I haven't met before makes me nervous it also excites me. I really do like meeting new people.

My plan is to take the bus to Hamburg the 26th of June and while I will stay at a hostel the first few days couchsurfing would help me extend my trip and maybe take me to different parts of Germany. I will probably make a public trip or something like that and try the Hangout app while I'm there. Don't really know yet.

Music, Movies, and Books

When it comes to movies and books picking favourites is hard. With music however it's easy. I love irish folk music the most, which is weird because my difficulty with auditory information makes it very difficult for me to hear what they are singing. Sadly because the lyrics are often very interesting when I read them. Anyway I love how it sounds, both the music and the lyrics (I love the sound of the song even if I can't comprehend just hearing it). When it comes to my second favorite types of music this is not as much of a problem since they are classical music (most often no lyrics) and jazz (where they sing more slowly and clearly).

For movies my favourite genre is good movies. The same goes for books. So my favourite books are the good movies. Just kidding, it's good books. Well I do like some of the bad ones as well. Anyway, I watch and read a lot of classics. I love how they communicate with me from a different time (well all books and movies do, but an even more far off different time) and them being still watched and read sure is a sign of them being timeless. Those two reason for loving classics may seem a paradox (or they may not, just a thought).
