About Me

Hey there!
Ive been traveling on and off for the past 3 years, more on than off :) Mostly in Central America, learning spanish, hiking volcanoes, swimming in the ocean, dancing barefoot in the jungle, cooking, singing, smiling.
I love this lifestyle, and i love meeting new people, learning and teaching eachother, coming together from all walks of life and all backgrounds. I feel truly grateful to be having this opportunity to discover this world and all its wonders and all YOU wonderful people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Throughout my travels ive lived in many different ways, and places. Ive slept in many different beds, hammocks, tents, on beaches under the stars and even on a pooltable for two weeks in Guatemala. Many of the best times ive had has been making friends with locals and staying with them. I feel its a truly unique and such fun way to see a new place.
I love seeing temples and just strolling down the streets aimlessly but what i really want to see and get to know in a new country is the people!

Interests

Wow, theres so much, i feel. I picked up the guitar last year! Which feels so great, ive never played any instrument or sang but now i do both and i love it.
I try to do yoga every day although i have terrible discipline so mostly not every day :) Im also an educated yoga teacher and can teach you some if you want!

Music, Movies, and Books

Hmm, so much. I basically listen to all kind of music, right now i have Xavier Rudd in my speakers, hes playing at a festival in Costa Rica that im going to in February!

As for books im a big fantasy fan and im chugging through the amaaazing Game of Thrones series at the moment.

I actually keep a list on my computer with every movie i have ever watched, along with my rating of the movie. Here are some of the films i gave 10/10:
The Prestige (i love magic)
Black Swan (after watching this i love ballet, and ive always been in love with Natalie Portman)
Leon the Professional (again, Natalie Portman, i have this poster up on my wall back home!)
Lord of the Rings (wizards, elves, magic rings, epic music, stunning scenery, just Beautiful!)
Stand By Me (theres something so nostalgic about this movie for me, Just thinkig about it almost brings me to tears)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The moment i fell in love with traveling. This was back in 2015, my first week of my first longer backpacking trip, on the pacific coast of Costa Rica.
Me and two friends decided to walk the beaches to this waterfall we had heard of. It was a loooong walk, we were slow, stoping for swims and coconuts every now and then, and, my friends was sick, and had to stop for bathroom breaks every 10 minutes. All of us being totally blissed out anyhow we totally forget the time, and by the time we reach the waterfall, nighttime rolls in! And its gets dark, really dark! And the high tide rolls in, the waves come crashing onto the beach and we have to jump from rock to rock an between cliffs to not get sucked in. AND, its starts pouring down rain, basically - were fucked, hours away from home, cold, exhausted, and no food or water left...
After walking miserably for a while, we chance upon a man in the darkness, he is Costa Rican, and he invites us to his house in the jungle. His house has no walls, but it has a Roof! He has no electricity, but a chickensoup is cooking over the open fire. He invites us to eat with him, although he has almost nothing.
We do not speak the same language, we have never met before, we have lived completely different lives, and yet we eat and laugh together that whole night. Late that night, i fall asleep in his hammock, listening to the sounds of the jungle, the birds chirping, the monkeys howling, the waves on the beach, and i feel so alive, and happy, and grateful to be right there, and i smile because i love being alive in that moment.
Thank you Robert, my very first couchsurfing host :)
