Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had a few people stay over at my place and I like the company and learning from other people. Simply by being with them, you pick up stuff. Everyone has their little eccentricities and its cool to find out about them. On my travels around the globe i have slept on many couches of people i met and that wasnt through this CS network...discovering a city or area through the eyes of a local is fantastic..and beats staying on the beaten track..i couldnt really imagine travelling any other way..its the people that make a place special I have found..

Interests

I have many interests...most important at this moment is figuring out more about myself, yeahyeah soulsearching stuff, and where the hell Im going..then very intelligent people tell me: Johan, where you are going is not important, how you are getting there is important, well damn seen I have tendencies to want to control stuff, its hard to let go and simply see what and where life takes you...

Great into sports, love swimming, running, tennis, recently one the mixed doubles at my club, no shit sherlock!!, and I love travelling. Have friends scattered over Europe, which makes for great weekends away..
Love mi casa, and chilling and unwinding there, going out with good company

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Buying my house with the worst hangover you can imagine...negotiating the price, many calls between the real estate agent and the people selling the house, and knowing I had a plane to catch to Sevilla that same afternoon..its kinda got to do with the situation of the housing market in Holland...and that I am an impulsive son of a b... at times ;-)

Driving through the desert of Australia with an old Ford Falcon, parking her (my car was a beautiful redhead) up at night and sleeping under the stars and seeing the satellites slowly waltzing across the nightsky...que SIIIIIIII!!!!!!
