Overview
About Me
Hey, I’m Johann and I’m currently studying electrical engineering in Karlsruhe.
I love to explore – nature, countries and cultures. Trying out new things, meeting people and seeing places is what shapes me, so I try to get around as much as possible.
I dream of a world with less borders, where people focus more on what we have in common and what we share.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love showing people around in the places I call my homes. Whenever I moved or traveled somewhere it was amazing to have a local who could show me their hometown, give tips or help out with something.
I want to do the same for others and I think couchsurfing is perfect for that.
Unfortunately, I can’t host guests in Karlsruhe right now but when you think I can help in some other way or you just wanna have a beer and get to know me, let me know :)
Interests
I like to spend time outside: Hiking, camping, biking, canoeing and so on. Since I moved to Karlsruhe I’ve fallen in love with the Schwarzwald. I often go for a weekend hike or stay overnight in one of the huts up there. I can very much recommend that to everyone who needs a short escape from the city life.
I played soccer (football) for a very long time but not actively anymore. Still, I’m always up for a quick round of pickup soccer.
I like building things: Furniture, bikes or whatever else comes in my mind.
Of course I love to travel and meet people from all aroud the world. I just got into hitchhiking this year and it‘s awesome.
Started skateboarding a few months ago. So far it's fun and a painful.

Teach, Learn, Share
I wanna hear about people’s stories and learn from their experiences. Also, I want to improve my French, skate better and discover new places, ideas and views.
If you wanna learn German, I can help with that.
I know a thing or two about making a website work and look pretty so if you’re interested in that I can show you some things. Also, I have taken apart and reassembled multiple bikes so I usually know which part goes where ;)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Some cool stories, experiences I’ve made and laughs.
Something more practical: I can cook and share some family recipes.
