Overview
About Me
Hi, I am currently studying social sciences with a focus on the Middle East and the Mediterranean region. I am spending me next semester in Edinburgh and am traveling there by train together with my sister Nora. She is living and studying in Hamburg, Germany, where I also grew up.
I am at the moment exploring how it is to live and study abroad and to learn by meeting people from different places and by seeing them. I am really curious to see how people live and what they are up. My interests are politics, esp. climate justice and policies and I like being always up to something. I enjoy cooking, reading, hiking, swimming, board games organizing politically and working with children.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I really like the way of travelling couchsurfing allows. I really enjoy meeting locals, new people in general, seeing places off the touristy sites and experiencing what a place actually means to its people rather than seeing sites which seem like images that are hard to connect to.
Unfortunately, I cannot accept guests at the moment, as I share a room and our flat in general is quite small. But if you are ever in Menton, France or Hamburg, Germany, we can hang out.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A couple of years ago in summer, I was hiking for two weeks in the pyrenees with a group of students. We slept in tarps, just where we found ourselves at the end of the day. It was a fantastic nature and group experience.
I participated in Ende Gelaende, which is a German climate justice association which organises climate camps and protest actions of civil disobedience like occupying a coal mine, a forest or last summer a place where an LNG terminal is supposed to be built. For one action we slept in tents in December and when I woke up I found that I had snowed the night before and all tents looked like white hills.
Teach, Learn, Share
I really enjoy conversations about current political issues, people, films and novels, really a lot of things. If you like, I could teach you how to improve your swimming skills and your German language skills. Besides, I could cook for you or we could sing songs. I could show you how to sew simple things. Or we could go to the cinema, a museum, a flee market, bars or other places where people meet
What I Can Share with Hosts
I could cook, help with the cleaning or walk the dog. I could tell you everything you would like to know about German culture, politics and Hamburg. If you like, I could teach you how to improve your swimming skills and your German language skills. Besides, I could cook for you or we could sing songs. I could show you how to sew simple things. Besides, I am open to many conversations and would also like to exchange recipes. Yayy
