Overview
About Me
"You cannot discover new oceans unless you have the courage to lose sight of the shore."
I consider myself a world citizen. Since I also have two very different nationalities within me, I think I have a yearning for opposite forces - for example, I am fascinated by the desert and the heat, at the same time I have always felt this pull towards snow and ice and the northern regions of the world. I think I am always fascinated by the unknown.
One thing I have definitely learnt during my time abroad, is that cultural stereotypes are, for the most part, really just that - in the end it is not the cultural differences or similarities that count, but the individual. That is also why I love travelling and exploring new places and having unexpected encounters while getting to know myself better in the process.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love meeting new people from all around the world - be it for a cup of coffee, a few days of travel and fun or a life-long friendship. Besides, I don't think you can really get to know a place if you don't take time to get to know the people.
