About Me

In May 2016, I have completed my high school by doing the national exams. Now I am ready for some new experiences. I would like to learn more about art, and especially the craftsmanship. Further, I am interested in fashion, film editing and photography. Projects, such as making a documentary about my family and making my own clothing are things I love to do. I would describe myself as a ambitious, creative and social person who is ready for adventure. As well as meeting new people and learning to speak and to understand the English language better.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I have heard nice things about it from friends and family. Also I am planning a trip to the U. S. from August till January and Couchsurfing is an ideal way to get in touch with local people.

Interests

I have a lot of interests and it begins with crafts. From a very young age I was always doing some creative things and it never stops. At the moment I prefer knitting and two months ago I have finished a documentary about my family. I have attended a sewing course for several months. I love to go to musea. I like to swim in nature water and I like to play theater. If I have time, documentaries take my attention. e

Music, Movies, and Books

Maybe you know that when you're totally obsessed with a song, but these songs can very each week. Now I'm totally in love with 'Can't take my eyes of you'. The best movie I have seen is definitely Blue Valentine, it shows life how it is and the movie shows especially how love begins and how love ends. Two books, I will never forget, are Vogel (bird in dutch) and Je blijft (you stay in dutch). It's so sad and so beautiful at the same time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Two months ago I've finished the greatest project I have ever done. I've made a documentary about my family. I come from a great family, it counts approximately 35 members and I've interviewed each member in person, grandpa, grandma, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, uncles exes etc. etc. I've learned so many interesting things and I definitely want to do more artistic projects in the future.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you Dutch words, if you are interested in that. I would like to learn manners of your culture. And we can share abnormalities of our both cultures. Dutch people have a disordered image of distance, 100 km is for them at the other side of the world.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would like to cook for you and tell stories, I can explain you how to knit. I can motivate you to do things outside of your comfort zone.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, England, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland

Countries I’ve Lived In
