Hi, my name is Johanna. I am an assisting teacher at a Norwegian Folkehøyskole (boarding school that focuses on hobbies) learning/teaching about arctic bush craft and enjoying nature and life.

I love traveling to explore new places and cultures and I love meeting new people that can inspire me and help me grow as a person. I do not have a lot of experience with couch surfing but through different exchange programs, I have been a guest at many different host families houses. I’ve e.g. done an exchange year in Canada, Québec learning about the culture, language and the people. Also I did an exchange for 3 weeks in England, Isle of Wight and one week in France, Metz, which I enjoyed very much.

In my spare time, I love being active in nature like hiking, skiing and running. I also love being creative and doing activities like knitting, sewing and painting. Most importantly I spend a lot of time with friends and family either at home or at a nice bar or restaurant - because I looove good food and nice drinks!

Because I want to learn about the culture and the people from the country I'm travelling in. I love meeting new people that are different from myself who can inspire me and give me perspective on life.
Because it is way cooler experiencing the country from an insighter's point of view.
I am not hosting myself because I live at a Norwegian boarding school (folkehøgskole) and at home with my parents.

I like listening to a lot of different music - both pop, country, rap and jazz. Some of my favorite artists are John Meyer, Ukendt Kunstner, Beyonce, Jorja Smith, Melody Gardot, Adele, Zach Bryan and many more - it depends on the mood:)
For movies, I love a good romcom or normal comedy like the Holiday, Call Me by Your Name and The Pursuit of Happiness .

I can teach you how to knit, speak danish or french (a good party trick), go for a nice walk, run with you or have nice conversations about life. Also I can cook you a nice danish meal or some good vegetarian food.
