About Me

psychology student at the University of Tübingen who want´s to see the world in all its beauty

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I haven´t seen too much of the world yet, but I really want to get to know it. And there´s no better way to do that than to meet its people!Sharing our experience makes life bigger! I don´t know what life will bring for me, so I´m trying to travel as much as I can, not just to see what possible ways and places to live exist, but also who I´m:)
Staying with natives makes it way more interesting, not just that you get great ideas and info about the place you´re in, even better: you get to know the mentality, the life,... of its people.

Music, Movies, and Books

As a child everything by Astrid Lindgren! In my opinion, every kid must get to know her books, they are the best!
Now it's hard to decide, I'm a passionate reader and once I#ve started I get addicted - the list of amazing books I've read is too long. Too bad that after all the readings at uni I'm most often too tired to read something for pleasure.
Choosing a favorite movie or music is also impossible. But here a few unknown tips, I've just discovered those bands during my exchange semester in Canada: Lemon Bucket Orkestra, Busty and the bass, 10 strings and a goatskin

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This summer: Hiking the East Coast Trail in Newfoundland. Breathtaking views, whales so close that we can hear them when we're in our tent, fourteen days off and out: I have to do another thru-hike soon.
Nature is calling and I must go.

Camping at the dead sea and before the sun is all the way up taking a swim, flowing on the water and watching the sun rise :)

Teach, Learn, Share

After high school I have spent a year volunteering in a Jewish nursing home in Boston and it was one of the best things I did. Not just learning about another culture and religion, but being able to experience and be part of their traditions and families and celebrate their holidays with them is amazing. Now that I'm teaching German to refugees in my free time I make similar experiences: People from all different cultures and religions open their doors for me, let me part of their roots, let me learn from them and learn from me. Couchsurfing is about the same thing: Letting people into your home, giving them the chance to be more than a regular tourist, letting them be part of your daily life and culture for a moment.

What I Can Share with Hosts

German, if anyone is interested? I love cooking (but all vegeterian/ vegan) and baking - can show you that German kitchen can be without meat, although no one expects that:)
