Overview
About Me
I'm a sciency geek who has decided to leave it all behind to explore the world!
Although I have travelled to different places and countries before, I have spent most of my "adult" years in medical research labs working in cancer research. I enjoy gaining knowledge and learning new things (especially natural science related stuff), but I've also developed an interest for foreign cultures, history, travelling... so I ended up planning this world trip with my British boyfriend Simon!
We've been travelling non-stop for almost 4 months now and we make a great team :) It's been really interesting and challenging at the same time to travel through so many different cultures. Also, we've used almost every possibility so far to hike up some mountain at the places we've been to, so that's definitely something we enjoy doing!
I'm very much looking forward to continuing with exploring the world outside the lab ;) And I hope that on my trip I can give something back, share knowledge and spread happiness to other people in busy jobs.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'd like to see as much of the world as possible in my life, and I believe that the local experience is always the best way to get to know a place! I like the concept of couchsurfing because I believe a culture based on kindness makes happier people!
