Hi Couchsurfers,

I'm Johanna, worked as a paramedic in Germany and am now studying medicine in the lovely city of Leipzig, Germany. Living and travelling with me is my boyfriend Johannes, he's just finished his apprenticeship as a physiotherapist.
After school we spent one year working and travelling in New Zealand with one more friend and our VW-Campervan "Woody". It was a great experience beeing free and independent, sleeping somewhere in the boondocks, meeting a lot of different people and characters from all over the world...
We just finished a big Roadtrip in the US where surfed some Couches and enjoyed it a lot.
So for all the ones looking for a host in Leipzig - we want to give back at least a bit of what we experienced so far. I will start hosting when time let me do so. Volleyball and studyinh will keep me busy though but I'm sure that we will be able to arrange something :)
As Johannes is still travelling I PREFER FEMALE SURFERS FOR NOW but I will give MALE SURFERS WITH MANY REFERENCES a chance as well if I feel save reading their profile.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We startet surfing Couches a few weeks ago in the US beeing curious to meet locals and learn about how life is going in different places of the world.
So when we are home we are looking forward to the chance of giving back with hosting other surfers. And of course it is always great to meet people from all over the world - so if we are not travelling, Surfers bring a tiny bit of the world to our home and it is almost like we are on travels as well.

Interests

We both play volleyball in teams of our hometown and spent our youth doing sports on a profi level (Johannes did Judo, I was an athlete). Besides volleyball we are always interested in trying new sports, love doing things like Inlineskating, Badminton, Hiking, Skiing...
Music is a hobby of us as well, it's not that we play anything perfectly but it's fun to enhance skills of piano playing or guitar, flute on our own. I would love to continue piano lessons one day...
We still try to enhance our photography skills - so if someone has knowledge we are happy to share experiences.

Meeting new people is always interesting and fun as well. Something we already enjoyed during our travels 3 years and travelling 6 weeks in the US. We are both very openminded to anyone and any culture and curious about coming experiences as hosts.
