Chi sono

Hi, I'm Johanna from Germany!
I've been travelling around since October 2022. And now I'm coming to Australia with a WHV :))

I'm hoping to meet some cool people here to have good conversations with and hopefully get some insider knowledge about places to visit and places to go to :)

I've been living in shared accomodations with up to 20 people in one room, so I know how to keep my space tidy. Can also sleep pretty much anywhere, so if all that's left is the floor, I'd still be grateful to take it!

Interessi

I really started missing good live music, so if you know any good places to go, I'd love recommendations.

Musica, film e libri

Music:
very varied, I listen to pretty much anything that someone puts on. Don't like radio music too much (just because I had to listen to it a lot while working sometimes).
Right now, I listen to a lot of Glass Animals, K.Flay, grandson and Milky Chance.
Besides that, I really like The Amity Affliction, The Wonder Years and La Dispute.
I actually have a travelling playlist going on, that I love adding to! So if you want to know some stories about songs on my playlist, I love telling them! Some are very wholesome (my story behind Stand By Me) and some are pretty stupid (my story behind Diggy Diggy Hole).

Books:
I enjoy reading but lately i've not really cared for the genre. I mostly read books that I found in hostels, so I didn't have many choices.
I like books about real people and their stories but mostly still fiction. I had an obsession with WW2 history fiction and read a lot of books in that genre. My favorite might be "The Book Thief" just because I love the perspective it's written from.
I enjoy fantasy as well, but mostly fantasy set in the real world, if that makes sense?
One of my favorite authors might be Kai Meyer, a German author that writes fantasy novels.
One of my favorite books is "Krabat", it holds a lot of memories from my dad reading it to us as children.

movies:
I don't really do movies, I don't have enough of an attention span to sit through them. I love the Ghibli movies though, they are very comforting! So beautiful and I love the soundtracks a lot.
