ABOUT ME

My name is Johanna, I'm 26 and I live in the beautiful city of Regensburg where I am still a student. I speak German, French and English and can understand a little Italian. I'm studying French and English at the University of Regensburg to become a teacher afterwards.

Originally I am from Passau in Lower Bavaria and grew up on a farm. But with 19 I decided to get my own place and experience the city life. I am very happy in Regensburg, a city full of students and interesting people.

I would describe myself as a rather modest but open-minded person. I can connect easily with other people and love to get to know different cultures and customs.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couchsurfing because I myself love to travel the world and experience different countries through the eyes of the people who live there. CS for me is the best way to get to really know the culture and the people of the destination you travel to.

I also lived in France for half a year for my ERASMUS semester in Avignon. I think being an ERASMUS student changed my perspective of foreign cultures and people of different nationalities. I loved to live in a international environment and CS helps me to uphold this great spirit.

Interests

I'm very interested in travelling and want to know all the beautiful places in the world. My hobbies are listen to an play some music: I play the guitar and the piano and I love to sing :)
Most of the time in my freetime I simply meet up with some friends and we cook dinner together or get some Pizza :D, or we go out for a drink. I really enjoy the company of friends and always love to meet new people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music in general and listen to a lot if different styles of music. On the one hand I love me some classics from the 60s and 70s - Janis Joplin and Johnny Cash are some of my favourite singers - but I also like the silly 90s hits and the electronic music from today.
Some of my favourite movies: Love, actually / Forrest Gump / Notting Hill and everything with HUgh Grant in general :D
