About Me
Hi! I'm a Chicagoan who's traveling around the West Coast. I lived in France for 2 years, it was so good. I play violin and I'm traveling and playing music with a guitarist and drummer. I love books, movies, music, art... also good food and cleaning for others.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I couch surfed a long time ago in Barcelona, Berlin, and London- back in 2010. But mostly I know Couchsurfing because I have a couple friends in Chicago who've hosted lots of people over the years. As a result they have friends all over and places to stay whenever they travel. Couchsurfing has been a really great thing in my experience, you get the chance to help people see your city and get to do nice things for the people who host you. Plus people who travel are usually on my wavelength- I like journaling, reading, and geek out on music. That's it!
Interests
I'm super into violin and viola, also electronic music, synthesizers, and audio production. I love french culture and literature, and short stories. Icons are super interesting too- be it icons in advertising or in art or language. I'm interested in how people create and transmit meaning.

Music, Movies, and Books
The last books I read were Master and Margarita (SO F'ing good), Sister Outsider by Audrey Lourde, and The Wretched of the Earth by Franz Fanon. Right now I'm reading The Spleen of Paris by Baudelaire and If on a Winter's Night a Traveler by Italo Calvion. Music- I'm interested in all music these days, the last albums I bought were Peaches, Rosin Martin, Sun Ra, and this free jazz musician named Mantana Roberts. Since I started working with this guitarist I got into John Fahey. Movies... I just saw Wings of Desire- so much more modern than I expected. I want to see the Hunger Games and the new Star Wars.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Once... I... I don't like to brag (midwestern) but moving to France was amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
If you want to learn how to knit/crochet, you got it! Or violin, french... synthesizers, audio production, damn I love that stuff.
