I am a 24 year old Australian from inner Sydney and am currently studying my Masters in Public Health. I will be doing an exchange in Amsterdam come September and travelling beforehand.

I enjoy exploring new cities/places by going to markets, finding a yoga studio, shopping local produce and cooking with it, thrift shopping, site-seeing and local walks/ hikes!

I have joined couchsurfing to allow the opportunity to explore the world through a locals perspective. I have travelled plenty of times through hostels and have found hostels are a fun places however are limited in immersing yourself in day to day life of the locals who live in the area.
I am interested in how locals spend their time, places they visit to eat and drink and think that couchsurfing allows the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself with local life!

As for movies, I am generally more interested in documentaries over movies.
The type of books I read are generally non-fiction and vary from timely topics on issues such as climate change, political and social issues, feminism and environmental issues.

My favourite memories are formed on hiking and trekking trips such as Machu Picchu in Peru and Mt Acatenango in Guatemala. I find treks to be extremely challenging and humbling experience!

I love to cook for people and would love to return the favour of being a guest by providing breakfasts and dinners. I love vegetables and making wholesome vegetarian/vegan food like curries, beans, soups, salads etc - anything! Although I am vegetarian I am totally okay with non-vegetarian food! I am very resourceful and can make a heart-warming dish with limited items!
I think sharing a home cooked meal together over some wine is a great way to get to know eachother!
