Overview
About Me
I like to think of myself as a pretty open minded and adventurous person. I need and enjoy my peace and quiet from time to time (like to flee into the montains or just go for a long walk) but gernerally I'm a people person.
Love food and good wine and impressive vistas.
Enjoying life to the best of my ability, I believe the only way to have a good life is, to live it. And the only thing you get for living a good life, is a good life. So for me there really isn't much of a secret to the meaning of life: its to live life.
And people and community are important to me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To not only visit but get to know the countries I'm travelling in. And to allow others to do the same.
Interests
I have always enjoyed all kinds of outdoor activities, running, hiking, cykling, skiing, climbing, kajaking, surfing... I am not an expert at all of those, but its fun and I like the challenge.
How does the saying go: a Jack of many trades, Master of none but better than Master of one. :)
Im intesested in people, we are all so different but still the same. How have we come to be who we are?
Language(s)
How incredibly far we are able to push ourselfs.
And how little.
And Dolfins, they are amazing creatures

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Visited an old school friend in Jena, Germany and met his roommates friends at a little travel talk/sideshow that another friend put together from his journey around India and Tibet. They were heading to Portugal to go surfing the very next day. By car it would take them about three days to reach Lisbon. So sure enough the next morning I booked a flight landing in Lisbon three days later. One of the best trips I've ever taken, two weeks of sunshine, surf, great coffee and cheese and lovely people. Sometimes you just have to jump.
Teach, Learn, Share
As far as languages go, I can teach the ones I know and Id love to learn the rest. Or at least a little bit of each.
Im always up for a long discussion about life, the ups, the downs and everything inbetween. Preferably outdoors, whether on a summit or overlooking the sea. Both views make you feel so small and so big at the same time.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook, even when there is almost nothing in the fridge, Ill fix something up.
Good advice about hiking (inherited from my dad), a few examples:
1 no matter how expensive your raingear and boots are, you are going to get wet, soar and tired, its going to suck for a while so you might as well save the money. Same goes for your pack, its gonna be too heavy, no matter what.
2 if you are soaking wet, thats a good thing, now you have one less thing to worry about, you won't get any wetter. ;)
