Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just moved to Vienna and want to know the city a little bit better before I host people...
Meanwhile I am open to meet travelers here.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My best friend and I visited the Netherlands in summer 2013. Our two hosts were very different from each other but both totally nice guys and they spend a lot of time with us showing us their country. It was such an impressive trip for us and now we are really couchsurfing fans!

During my visit as a volunteer in Isreal/Palestine 2013-14 I met with some couchsurfers who kindly showed me their beautiful country. Once more CS was a great opportunity to meet new and interesting people!

Interests

- people and their way of life
- attitudes, cultures, etc.
- sports (especially martial arts - but I give nearly everything at least one chance)
- food (one of the moxt interesting things a country has to offer is the typical local cuisine)
- nature, landscape, things unique to see which make life more beautiful...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

simple but great: diving trough the waves at the beach of Jandia, Fuerteventura (Canaries) was one of the most impressive experiences for me as a child

unexpected: who'd have thunk? I was really surprised how a musical like The Lion King could fascinate me so much - but it was incredible what kind of emotions these actors created during the show in London!

little bit frightened: when I worked as a "guard" of a hostel in the middle of a national park in Italy I didn't have a lot of guests BUT my first one I will never forget! I was cleaning the kitchen when I had to open the door which usually was fixed and not used. The door was rather broad and as I moved it a little snake came out beneath. So I was kind of kept in the kitchen - because my guest stayed between me and the door.. The only way out was to catch the snake although I had been told before that there are also snakes which use poison... Luckily I could catch the snake with a cooking pot without getting bitten :) Afterwards a friend told me that this type of snakes have no poison but anyway I was happy not being bitten.
